Pensamentus
is... |
 |
a brainwave which comes from
nowhere but gradually taking shape
finally becomes an idea...It's a way of looking at the various fragments
of the world and their periphery, which we don't know much about until
we can find out more...It's a door which opens for those dissenting
voices
who, in the 'fortunate' Western world don't live in a regime of public
censure...It's an incitement to stop what you're doing for a moment
and
think about the perspectives of reality, discover the poetry in daily
living, but to also rummage through the tragedies hidden in the deep
recesses of our society - at times painfully, sometimes with outrage,
and sometimes sarcastically or ironically. It's an incitement to an
artistic use of the e-mail and towards a speleological way of exploring
the internet.

|
Pensamentus
goes... |
 |
in search of an art form
which combines photography, cinema, painting,
poetry, and a more original musical setting, and which is known above
all
for being a fast, concise and pragmatic means of communication:
the e-mail.

Pensamentus
is...
|
|
on the one hand very precise - it's for the
oppressed, the ostracized, the unfortunate, the abused. That's how
it is. There's nothing we can do about it. Maybe this is one of the
limits of 'Pensamentus',
but the worst thing is...
it's proud of this.
|
This is Pensamentus
|

But it's not just this.
We don't yet know what tomorrow will bring because it's an incitement
to imagination, to music, to poetry and all that's associated
with an awareness of communication. A lot depends on your reactions
- on 'ripensamentus' (mulling it over in your mind), and on
'commentus' (your thoughts and opinions).
Our hope is that everyone will send us their comments and suggestions
because in this way that first idea will eventually become a
'Ragionamentus' (a way of reasoning).

Note : Pensamentus
'pensare' in italian means 'to think' and the word 'pensamentus' originates
from this root.
